Appearance
She's got long, long hair that is a light blue, for some reason. She's convinced her parents that it's from the chlorene in the pool, but everyone knows that turns hair green. Le duh. Thankfully, her 'rental units decided that it was okay if their daughter dyed her hair. The light blond she'd had during her elementary and middle school years didn't suit her nearly as well as the blue. Her eyes are the light blue her genetics determined appropriate, but she's very tall for her family. She stands at six feet and is still growing. She's athletically built from swimming and dancing and has a habit of wearing short skirts or capris, tank tops, and flip flops. The skin at the side of her neck is extremely dry and peels away if she even touches it. Eventually, this will reveal her gills.
i should not be telling you
I'M FLATTERED BY YOUR INTEREST
I'M FLATTERED BY YOUR INTEREST
LIKES: dancing, swimming, her beta fish, telling fortunes with her tarot cards, sunshine and summertime, lemonade and chocolate chip cookies, getting up early, bubble gum.
DISLIKES: dry weather, being criticized, injuries, citrus flavored chewing gum, the smell of car exhaust, cats, being late.
STRENGTHS: agility, empathy, intuitive.
WEAKNESSES: not good at math, dehydrates easily, gets hungry a lot.
QUIRKS/HABITS: always has her tarot cards with her and shuffles them when she's nervous.
FEARS: fire, spiders, making a fool of herself.
GOALS: pass algebra.
PERSONALITYSasha is known for being a sort of mediator among her peers, because she can emphasize and is understanding of other people. She's a bit popular, but not so popular that she alienates others. She's best known for her consistant wins at swim meets. The swim team isn't a big deal in Salida, though. Her teachers know her to be hard working, if a little air-headed. She's not very good at logical things like math and science.
Outside of school and swimming, she loves to dance. When she was a kid, she was in ballet, but eventually quit to swim more. She still dreams of performing onstage, though.
She's never really had much luck romantically, but she finds herself daydreaming about that prince charming. When she's faced with a real relationship, though, she's uncomfortable and finds herself retreating back into that fantasy.

MOTHER: Heather Siroky
FATHER: Ted Siroky
SIBLINGS: none
OTHER: Erika Ramone, godmother.
FAMILIAR/PET: three blue beta fish and one red: one fish, two fish, red fish, and blue fish.
PLACE OF BIRTH: Salida, Colorado
CURRENT RESIDENCE: same
ABILITIES: just can hold her breath a really long time.
FUTURE ABILITIES: Will eventually develop gills, fins that appear when she's swimming. She can, to steal a term from a rather amazing television show, water bend. When she's infuriated, she can bloodbend - manipulate the blood flowing through someone's veins. She can freeze, melt, or vaporize water to her will. Also, she has slight healing abilities.
Water represents purity and change.
HISTORY:Sasha grew up spending more time around her godmother, who she calls Mama Erika, than her parents. Her dad is a rather (pardon the stereotype) absent-minded literature professor, and her mother is a research assistant at a science lab. Mama Erika, however, was happy to have a child running around her little fortune-telling salon. That's where Sasha learned to read tarot cards, and a little bit of folk magick, though she didn't think of it that way. Mama Erika managed to teach her the properties of herbs and crystals without Sasha realizing it.
Surprisingly, Sasha found herself as a popular kid when she started school. All the kids wanted to be invited to her sixth birthday party. After a disaster involving a crystal ball falling in a swimming pool, she didn't have birthday parties any more. Kids still accepted her, even looked up to her, because as they got older, Sasha managed to avoid, even end, the drama that seems to be unavoidable among adolescent girls.

POST EXAMPLE:Sasha stood in front of the mirror in the locker room, feeling like a character in one of those boxing movies. She leaned over the sink, staring at her neck. Two little spots right beneath her ears itched like no other. They were red and sore, like two big bug bites. She sighed and wrapped her ponytail around itself, essentially making a little bun without the bobby pins, and slipped on the silicon swim cap. She turned in the mirror, making sure that the SAC logo was straight, and tucked in a few wispy, almost blue hairs. She slipped off her flip flops, flinging them into her locker across the room – they landed on the floor a few feet away – and walked through the door into the pool. Chatter was magnified by the terrible acoustics of the room, and Sasha breathed in the heavy scent of chlorinated water. Usually, the pool was warm, but for meets they cooled it down. Cold water meant faster times. She walked up to her starting block and waited for the last heat of the twelve plus hundred freestyle event to end.
Then, she stepped onto her block, lowering her pink goggles over her eyes. A green tint came over the room, and she leaned down into her starting position. The four hundred freestyle was probably her favorite event, but she always got a little bit nervous before the event.
Then someone let out a short burst from an airhorn.
Sasha dove into the water, kicking her feet with her arms pointed before her until she reached the surface. All traces of nervousness disappeared, as insubstantial as wisps of smoke from an extinguished candle. She felt powerful and fast in the water, though in the back of her mind the sides of her neck still itched, and so did her fingers and toes now. She saw the sign in the bleachers, “SWIM SASHA SWIM”, as she took her first breath, fifty yards into her swim. She didn’t know if she was ahead or behind, didn’t care.
And she won her heat. Surprisingly, she was barely out of breath even though the other girls in her heat were all gasping for air. And then, two heats later, she had won the event. {{376 words}}
